I live in the USA and I don't lock my doors. Once in a while a cow walks through the backyard. If they start getting aggressive, I'll start locking the doors.

Yes I do lock my front door, I live in the UK only would do no matter where I lived.

In the UK in the 50/60s nobody locked their doors, a bicycle could be left out for a fortnight without it being pinched. Haven't things changed, now everything has to be screwed down.
We could play out under the gas lights and in dark back streets without any worries, I wouldn't let my children do it now with all the perverts around.

yes i lock my front door better to be safe than sorry even if you live in the most safest area in the world. I live in england manchester, not the safest place to live but nice.

Yes, Had an attempted break in too on the weekend. My parents live in spain and they have to lock their gate at the bottom of the garden too.

umm...yes cuz and i live in the U.S in a big city but a couple months ago i lived up in the middle of no where and we still locked the door cuz there are sum wierd people in the boonies too..lol...kinda but yes you shuld lock your door no matter how harmless it *looks* where you live! Its just always good to be safe..and thats wat locks are for arent they? I mean if someone important comes they can knock or ring a doorbell

I live in Jersey in the channel islands (UK) and i dont need to lock my door and have not done for quite some time,
