If you abide by the laws, pay taxes, you live in a stationary home, have a handle on reality and your responsiblities then you are simply being you my dear, and these are just the things that characterize you. Hippies were a free spirited people who usually move around never staying in one place to long, it was all peace, love, and smoking weed and stuff. if these things are characteristic of you then, yes you are probably a new age hippie, other than that you just have an old soul and a love for the 70s. well you can not truly say by music preference or by outfit.the real mark of a hippie is in there actions. and not even the pot thing cuz I'm a bit of a hippie and I've never smoked a puff in my life. it is in the eyes you look through at the world with. i see the world as a dark place formed of greed and hate, yet if people were to show some love not just to the people close to them but to every creature in the world, then we would all live in bliss and happiness. it is a constant high from just living your life and doing what is the most fun and least harmful. what people don't get is that they think things like interests or habits makes us who we are, yet in truth it is our soul and the eyes we chose to see the world through that make us.
