Are you using sonic stage software? You need to convert your files to the ATRAC format, if not this is free software which can be downloaded from the Sony website.

As some one has already said, you will have to install Sony's Sonic Stage software then you can do anything you want with your music. You should have the CD when you bought the player? Otherwise download from Sony's website.

if you have purchased the music from MSN music or whatever for 79p a track, they dont work on most mp3 players.

thats why i stopped using them and went onto limewire instead. i get them all free and they work on my mp3 player, my phone and all the computers.
