Scooter/moped - how to open seat when it has flat battery?

I have a Peugeot Jetforce Scooter where the seat is opened by turning the key in the ignition. I guess it's electromagnetic. I haven't used it for a year or so, and the seat won't open at all. The battery is totally flat, and the battery is located under the seat. How can I open the seat in order to get to the battery to charge it?

The seat lock is most likely cable operated. Try to remove the covers to get at the ignition switch.
