No, I don't believe it. But I'll tell you what. Unfortunately, by the time this thing is disproven or has doubt cast on it, it will be like a lot of other unqualified folklore.

See, by that time, so many people will believe in it, the real story won't get much attention and people will insist to keep on believing in the stupidity.

It's a lot like the whole thing about people coming here from space. Fifty years ago, we didn't know as much about space. We didn't know for sure that the planets of the solar system could not likely have any kind of life. But - now that we know - it's too late. The folklore is in vogue and people won't let go of it.

It's a tough one. Christian philosophy would say that this is a definite hoax, but nevertheless I do believe that it's possible that they found Jesus' tomb... we cannot forget that the bible was translated by man, and man has never been great with translating things.

But, it's also possible that they found a tomb belonging to another person named Jesus, as I believe this was a relatively common name.

The most important thing is for people not to fight over this... let them study the tombs and make a scientific argument. If the science is really convincing, we should accept it for what it's worth. It wouldn't belittle the Judeo-Christian philosophies if they determine that it really is Jesus' remains... if anything, it would support the existence of God in man's form. That in it of itself is a great scientific and religious breakthrough!

And remember, Jesus' tomb or not... we're still all on this earth together, so we better start respecting each other's beliefs.

Jesus died a natural death like every other man before and after. He probably did have a wife because being a man and not having one would have been looked down upon by society back then. He would not have had a tomb though being a generally poor person in his time from all accounts I know of. Im sure they did find the tomb of a man named Jesus, as there were many men named Jesus, Joseph; and women named Mary in some form at that time in history. As far as mythical reincarnations of religious prophets? Well...I mean...come on now. As respectfully as possible, let's not confuse actual history with supernatural beliefs please.

No I don't believe it. There is no evidence that this is Jesus' or his family's tomb. There are writings on them that have the names of Jesus, Mary, Joseph etc. but then there were other people that had those names at the time. There is no way to prove it since there is no DNA to match against. Christianity and believing in the resurrection is a matter of faith. This will not change my beliefs.

Good Christian....believe what your shouters tell you to believe. Don't even think about research or skeptical questioning.

What you Christian types ignore is that it is perfectly possible, but not do any damage to your religion. The equivalent of Jesus and Mary in the language of the time were both very common names. So you cannot deny that the markings of Mary and Jesus on the ossuaries could be absolutely correct.

Think instead of spouting rote rot for a change.

I know personally that I don't believe it because I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe in what the Bible tells us. In the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, it says that he was crucifed on the cross and rose again three days later. In Revelation, it says that he is going to come back. I mean there is no way that he could die of natural causes and have a wife!

I'm sorry that you don't.
But what will you say when the DNA test matches the body in the tomb with the shroud that has his blood on it?

I don't believed he died, or died a natural death even. Most Christians and Muslims won't swallow this, and I doubt the proof would be a solid one.

I think its a crock. I dont care what the odds are that it's really Jesus' tomb - it could be a million to one or ten to one........my bet is always on the Bible and God's Word.
