Its really hard to pick just one favorite but Id have to go with 311 or Sublime. There music is just amazing and shows live (never was able to see Sublime though), most of their songs are all original. This is alternative rock though. As for classic rock (something more liek U2) id have to say Zeppelin or Pink Floyd.

I'd have to say Muse, for much the same reason you love U2 they are totally amazing live; I've been to a fair few gigs, but they blew me away and I was on a high for days if not weeks after. I love their music cos it's got passion and emotion in it and it rocks as well. They do something different to the herd of Libertines and Oasis wannabes that seem to be praised to the skies, and they seem a nice bunch of lads as well.

My all time favorite band is Lynyrd Skynyrd. Their songs just take me to another place and time. I also like Aerosmith very much. I listen to alot of Country, too.

oasis, Noel Gallagher is by himself brilliant, but with the band he is fantastic, they are the deepest and wisest band i ever heard (only the songs, they act like bastards jerks)
