I haven't noticed it in a while--of course it is winter. Pop culture-speaking, it's safe to say that was the 2003-2005 phase?

I dont think its a phase. I think its simply an accident. I know i have a larger than normal butt and sometimes i cant help my thong or underwear showing. Its not that i want it to show or think it looks cool.. it just happens sometimes. Its actually illegal in some states to have your undergarments showing (Florida) So if some people think its cool, they are sadly mistaking...

It's pretty much safe to say that the thong as a fashion accesory should never have been popular.
I seriously hope that no self-respecting woman still does that, or ever did.
Not to mention how unflattering it is.

I don't even know how the hell that actually became a "trend" in the first place. It's so stupid. But yeah, I believe it's safe to say that it's over (and thank God!) because I haven't seen it around anymore either.

As far as I'm concerned, it was over before it even started. There is nothing trashier...nothing that screams "look at me I'm a slut" louder than your thongs hanging out of your pants!!!

I dont think is was ever really "IN" but if it was lets hope it is over! That was just trashy & gross! I think whats "IN" now is the whole Commando thing! And Britney Spears has it down! HAHA :)
