Try to remind yourself that they came to have a good time and you should do the same! One day you will be old and look back at how young and beautiful you were and wonder why you ever allowed others to rob you of your celebration of life and vitality! Even Big Bunnies love to kick up their heels and Whales leap from the sea and splash their great tails and they are beautiful to behold! And I just know you are not going to let others squash your enthusiasm for life any more! Now Shake it!! Shake it like a Polaroid picture Dance lady!!!

As a former dance instructor (country/swing), I have seen many people who say that they have two left feet or look funny dancing. I am 6'3' and I don't have a problem dancing. Of course I wasn't born that way and until I was 23, I wouldn't step foot on a dance floor unless I was drunk or it was a really slow dance. What changed all that? I was stationed in South Korea and there happened to be a country dance group there. Yes I was little embarassed at first, but one year later, not only was I better, but I also helped start a country dance group at my next assignment. Check out the community pages in a newspaper, they usually have dance instruction for a wide range of dances. Think of it like taking ski instruction or driver's education. We do those things to get better at something we are interested. You will also meet new friends in the bargain.

Take those looks as compliments. My wife is almost 5'10" and she says the same thing. It's hard to not see a tall woman in the crowd, but remember that most women wish they were taller and had long legs. I love my wifes long legs and she always looks elegant when she moves. Get out there and dance. Life is too short to sit it out! Be proud of who you are.

Face you fear and just do it. People are going to look at you no matter what just cause you're tall. Besides, it was one persons opinion that tall people look funny when they dance, so there are so many people who do not think that way.

If you like to dance then do it and don't think about it, just feel the music, suck down a few cocktails and start grooving. I don't like to dance so I rarely do it. You're making it about yourself instead of just having a good time and partying.

Generally speaking, most people look stupid when they dance. It's a narcissistic behavior that serves no purpose other than sexual arousal. So if you want to dance, you should become a stripper.

u r making it worse. if u keep avoiding dances, when u actually do dance, people will be staring at u. i think u should just do a little bit at parties, then gradually work your way up to more.

I just don't dance in general. Usually it takes a person on each arm just to swing me unhappily around in a circle and call it dancing.
