Msn and Hotmail comes with an inbuilt virus scanning - the name has escaped my head though. But as suggest download either:

AVG 7.5

or

Avast home edition

Which are both free viruses scanners which you can assign msn to use to scan your documents.

Look at avg. I believe they offer a free version of anti virus and that will scan email attachements.

I think most of email providers support this feature as a standard feuture. But just make sure to see the extension of the file you're about to download before you click on it. Be careful from any .exe extensions These kinds of extensions sometimes hold viruses and as soon as you run them, a virus might attack your system.
