i think i have a sinus infection but today while in the shower i was doing what we call here a farmers blow that where u hold one nostril down and blow out the other one. a big chunk flew out but it wasn't like most mucus i have seen. it was harder than normal but not hard as a rock it felt like i had a piece of squid in my hand and it it wasn't bloody all except a Lil piece on it. my nose did bleed for a few seconds after but then started running which it hasn't done at all up until now. is this norm and has any body else had this happen before?

that was the infection itself. it settles into whatever part of your body that is infected and just builds up. i've had this happen with sinuses and have seen it with some skin lesions. it's fairly normal, i guess it's just weird when it actually comes out though since most of the time our bodies internally break down the infection so it doesn't come out in a huge clump. as long as you're feeling ok, i'd say you're fine and your sinus infection should be pretty much cleared up now. if you have a lot of soreness or it continues to bleed, you should see a doctor though.

Can't say what it was from your description. Perhaps a blood clot, hardened mucus or pus from an earlier infection, or even a piece of food.

When people vomit, for instance, sometimes little chunks of indigetable food/fiber can become lodged in the nasal cavity and stay there indefinitely until you sneeze one day or give it a good blow.

Something very similar happened to Me last year and what happened is that I had a very bad infection, and had to get treatment for almost two months.
You should take it seriously and ask a physician very soon, or You risk having lung complications.
Disregarding Your age, or smoking/non-smoking habits, it can get really serious and You should go to a doctor or hospital today, if possible.
Hopefully You will get better with the appropriate medication!

nothing may be wrong. things like that happen to people everyday....its happened to me before. my friends mom whos a doctor...say that if u have a nose bleed it most likely means u have too much blood in ur body....but thats normal...but if u have it all the time...then u need to see a doctor. ive never had a nose bleed before. and this is ur first time....doesn;t mean somethings wrong....its only if its a continuous thing.

What you notice on prevalent, is what's widely used. occasion: in case you notice a man or woman hiccuping that oftentimes widely used yet whilst its nonstop for days or months, it extremely is maximum in all danger no longer widely used. additionally if a man or woman grow to be born with something like six hands on each and each hand won't look widely used to us in spite of the undeniable fact that it extremely is widely used to that man or woman. So now and back it extremely is somebody ingredient that no person else will comprehend.
