My hero is someone who never thought of leaving me in the dirt when I was at my worst. Because of my addiction to prescriptions and my mind on the sleaziest men, this person spent endless nights drowning in their tears. When I would leave the house in the smallest hours of the night, this person would wake up to find me gone and spend an entire week looking for me until I finally came back. When I'd have panic attacks and scream and yell at everyone, this person carried me to a couch, covered me in blankets and told me everything would be all right. After I was kicked out of the house (for good reasons) and was found sleeping in a walk in closet, this person wrapped me up in a hug and was glad to see me alive. After fainting from lack of nutrition, this person rushed me to the hospital and begged for me to get better.

After all I put this person through, the lies, the deceit, the angry words, and angry fists... I am blown away at how she still loves and cares for me. She gave me the strength to move beyond my demons and I never took a second to glance behind me. She never gave up and never let me forget that she loved me.

My mother is my hero and my life saver. She is the brightest and most brilliant star in my sky.

I would have to say, Camille Paglia, professor, author, social and literary critic and intellectual.

She may be the smartest person alive. I just like her guerrilla-style debating powers. For one thing, she's a powerful woman - and that turns me on. I listen to her debates with others and she usually rips 'em a new one...

And I believe she is an original thinker (rare, in a world of around 6 billion people!) I've read all her books and I just sit there stunned at the comparisons she makes and the things she says.

My Mom is mine. She had 10 children, and raised them all right. Shes so sweet and caring and giving, and appreciative, and so loving. My Mom is my best friend, and I dont know what Id do without her. I dont know a finer person on this earth.*

I have no hero because I don't worship dead people. No point. Nothing seems to have any point. All good things are in vain. Curses...
