I agree with it. It should be illegal to be on your cell phone while driving.. People should have to have the hands free phone cord thing, if theyre going to be on the phone in their car...in my opinion.*

Personally I think its a good idea. It doesnt matter who you are, how competant you are behind the wheel or for how long you've been driving - operating a vehicle while using a mobile phone is dangerous. I cant count the number of times a "Yummy Mummy" has pulled out in front of me in their oversized mercedes 4x4 with little "apricot" in the back while using their mobile phone. I've had to slam the breaks on for these drivers and unfortunately I'm not rich and cant afford to replace my brake pads. Its safety more than anything else, but its an inconvience and an irritant to me especially. Pay attention!

It's a positive step to stopping all those idiots out there that chat away on their mobiles paying barely any attention to what's going on around them!! I think people that do this are extremely selfish & irresponsible-putting other people at risk all because they're too tight to pay for a decent hands-free kit!!
I think it should be a higher fine & maybe a ban if you're caught!!

It doesn't effect me because i have never used my mobile phone whilst driving if there is someone else in the car they answer it or i just let it ring ,

Its good, there are far too many sloppy drivers on the road already, without adding phones into it.
if it wasn't for power steering nobody would be able to drive and use a mobile @ the same time.

I think it's awesome,makes the road better and safer for humans. People using phones while driving are animals that should remain in the forest or better still cages.

Doesn't really matter as they have to catch them first, and god knows what people have to talk about all day. I saw one guy with a phone in one hand and an apple in the other.

Good. It probably saved their lives. I was nearly killed by another driver using a mobile phone turning back.... I survived....

i think it is fab. my dad has an o2 x4. it is a brick, and now he'll have to get a new one with bluetooth so he can use a bluetooth headset when driving, so it won't be as embarrassing when he gets a call when he is in tesco with me!
