It doesn't make any sense. I mean, in the summer they go to the beachj and wear a bikini where you can see much more. Also a large number of girls in uniform wear stockings or tights which will further inhibit viewing up the skirt. So why do they wear them? Do they wear boxers under prom and schooldance dresses too?

I have 3 daughters in Catholic school. The girls wear shorts under their skirts for a couple reasons.
They can take the skirt off as soon as school is over.
They are made of itchy material, the shorts make sitting more comfortable.
Finally, because there are always stupid boys who will flip up a girl's skirt. A girl who wears shorts under her skirt/jumper is demonstrating the virtue of modesty.

Catholic school girls where boxers under there uniform because they dont want anyone seeing there goodies in school. Plus they dont want any rumors going around about them being slutty.

It's a saftey net. They don't want everyone seeing the goods! My son's school just switched to a skort for the girls.

well you know that a few girls would push the bounderies of the underwear they could wear and some might not even wear any at all so its just a saftey net

stockings and tights are part of the winter uniform.
But I never wore boxers and none of my friends did either. I think you're generalising a bit.

i used to wear uniform last year but i went to a new school....anyway last yr i did that cuz my shirt was super short and i didn't want my butt showing so i wore shorts underneath...cuz i never wore stockings i wore knee-highs only....â¥â¥
