most poorer nations are communist..

china is practicng a mix of free market with a tight gov control on what can be sold.. but letting the market set the price..seems to be working somewhat at this time..

cuba is in bad shape from its 45 to 60 years on communist rule..the country will do lots better once castor is dead

North Korea also communist.. this nation can not even feed itself.. if it was not for all the hand outs other nations sends it.. it would be starving

France is a socioalist nation.. currently running an unemployment rate of around 25% from what i remember.

Germany also a mix of captitalist, socialism.. sorta of working.. but still high unemployement rate..

the Unite States is for the most part a Capitalist Nation.. with a lot of Federal controls that are driving up prices on some items

over all there are no true capitalist nations any more

The USSR and Soviet Bloc collapsed because of lack of Democracy, bankruptcy because the economy was based on Heavy Industry as opposed to Hi-Tech industry and the Soviets invested heavily in weaponry to counter the Americans and support global revolution... Yugoslavia, collapsed because of ethnic and religious tentions following the death of Marshal Tito where the new states were subjected to American Capitalist companies.. China was never proper Comunist, it was Stalinist/Maoist, but since Rapprochement in 1972, it has decided to introduce semi-Capitalism in order to make a profit and feed its populace. However, it still retains a sort of Socialist system but less so than the UK or the Scandinavian countries. Vietnam is a similar story. Cuba however doesn't so much. It has only been capitalised in the tourist industry from which it makes profits to feed its people. It has also created a wealthy social class from Tourist Taxi drivers who make lots of money from Tips. However, the Tourist industry and the Cuban Society are segregated. Cuba doesn't profit much because of the USA's embargo on it, and the decrease in value of its sugar cane. However it boosts an excellent education system, the most literate population in the world, the most skilled population in the world, better healthcare than the USA, higher life expectancy than the USA, lower infant mortality than the USA and less suicide rates per 1000 than the USA. Countries liberalize and Capitalise, because Capitalism means profit for the state. However Socialism means the well being of the people within the state. Some countries like the UK or Sweden or Norway or Denmark or Finland, try find a middle way or hybrid system...
