Hmmmm.....well how much of the income are we talking about here? Lets face it, one can only absorb just so much pornography. I myself enjoy it occasionally but the terrific urge to pick up a good book or read a well written article certain ally takes precedence over that.
Pornography has no real socially redeeming value. In addition, it's not the great stimuli for most women as men think it may be.

I'd rather spend my hard earned cash on a nice, quiet meal with cocktails and then go back to the room or home and live my own pornographic visions without having to spend money on it.

Quite honestly I'd only purchase something pornographic if my partner stated she'd be interested and it stimulated her. other than that, its not the best use for your dollar.

Pornography can be an addiction. I would check to see how involved he is with it. That means his computer. It is hard for a wife to accept that her husband enjoys lusting after other women in films and web sites. In fact, it is downright disrepectful (even though they will argue it is not.)

You have 3 choices:

1. Look the other way and let him continue.
2. Ask him to stop the porn and get rid of it.
3. Leave him.

There are good web sites discussing porn addiction. Just go to Google.

This scenario doesn't normally 'develop'. If a guy is into porn or whatever, he was probably into it before they met, while they dated, and certainly before they got married.

I'm not saying it's right, because it's not. All I'm saying is that guys who are into porn don't suddenly get into it after they get married, and women who understand their guys are into porn before they get married (and accept that) should not be suprised if the guy is still into porn after they get married.

If the woman can't have a serious, heart-to-heart discussion about this (or any hobby that comes between two people in a relationship) then she shouldn't have picked him in the first place.

There are millions of men on this planet- She chose one who was into porn.

Ball & Chain 'em for a while, as in wifey should keep 'em on a leash for a while? :)

I'm sure a wife doesn't mind her husband buying movies that she doesn't or wouldn't watch as long as it's not porn if they have a moral problem with that. As far as gambling goes, women may think it's okay for their man to spend money on the lottery, etc. But porn is a whole different issue as it can make men dissatisfied with their wives & have unreal expectations. It's a form of cheating when you lust after other women instead of having eyes only for your wife. Some couples don't feel that way. But when you were first dating & you found out each others beliefs (what they were into, liked or disliked), if you hid your true self & did stuff behind their back that you knew they were against.... that's defrauding. So, it comes down to what you care more about... your porn or your relationship with a REAL person.
Or if you like to cheat, why did you get married in the first place & defraud that person by saying you were committed to only them?

Why the bias towards porn? Why not gambling or alcohol or trading cards, or candy? Who cares what the money is being spent on? If a partner is spending more money on anything than the other partner agrees to, then you have look at your spending and compromise. Imgaine that, working through a problem.

I think it would be up to each individual wife to decide what she should do about it. Some women have a problem with the fact that their men view porn others don't. It really is a personal choice for the couple.

Men who spend excessive money on porn instead of their wives should not get and REAL action! I'd cut him off faster than he could press the "play" button on the DVD player!

If that didn't get the message across, AUSTA LA VISTA BABY!

The wives should talk to the husbands and find out why they feel the need to resort to porn. Then they should try to figure out how to solve the problem.

I think it's OK if the husband spends money on porn rather than the wife spending the money, because it's probably the husband who is going to look at it more.

It depends on how much money the man is spending. Every man is entitled to have some personal pocket money that he can spend as he wishes.

Of course, if he is spending half of his salary on porn, then this is another matter where his wife should have some say.
