i dunno...most american are fat...i think usa is the place with the highest rate of fat people...more n more people are becoming obese here...i think its not something to be made fun of but u gotta face the truth..o well wut can u do..

agreed that PC idiots are overboard on many things. About ellen, well to put it simply being fat is something that at least in the mind of america would seem to be something you choose to be and thus you get no mercy. I'm not defending anything at all, I'm just saying that would probably be the reason why you can dump on fat people, smokers, etc. and not get the same backlash.

That must have been the time that I had turned to Family Guy. I don't remember hearing it. Fat people are made fun of all the time. That doesn't make it right but that's how it is.

My guess is that no one watched the lame Oscars anyway. I really don't care what celebs have to say because their only opinion should be about acting not making fun of the average person.

How is being gay or straight a comparison to being fat or skinny? Why does her sexual orientation have anything to do with this? Comedians make jokes...it's what they do. Many famous comedians make fun of race, sex, and--most of all--appearance.
I guess you can turn any question into an anti-liberal bashing post. Good for you...I bet your Mom is proud.

Well people aren't supposed to be fat. Obesity is a major health issue. It's costly to our society. If making fun of fat people makes them think introspectively and thus possibly improve their lifestyle ( exercise or eating habits), then that's a good thing. Nothing wrong with making fun of people, especially if it's about something they can and should change.
