Open a command prompt (Start --> Run and then type cmd and press enter) and type ping then a space then the web site address...this will show you the IP address of that server.

Go to your start button - click "RUN" - type "cmd" - Command prompt will open - type "ping www.yahoo.com" you will get replys from the server listing the IP address. If you type that number into your internet explorer address bar you will still get to yahoo.com

you can also use "nslookup" from the command prompt to have your DHCP server translate the name of the website to the IP address.
