I have brown hair with bits of blonde throughout because my dad had red hair. I used to know someone who had red hair with a patch of black at the side (natural). It's probably just the mix of genes you have.

Does the hair on your head appear sort of red when under bright sunlight? It's possible your hair color has a touch of red in it. The hairs on your arm might be thinner than the hair on your head which causes it to look lighter and more red than black.
Also the hair that grows on your body is a different type of follicle than the ones on your head. Maybe you just have different colors for those 2 types :)

Do remember that black hair is super dark red, so your arm hairs may just be a little lighter.

The hair on my arms and stomach is blonde and not only are the rest of my hairs black but so am I??? WTF man?
