gotta go with the who. although they really didn't gain commercial success until 1969 with tommy and then again in 71 with who's next, they owned the 60's. pete wasn't as great as jimi on guitar and they didn't make as good as records as the beatles, but pete and the boys kicked ***. they blew everyone off the stage at monterey and had one of the best sets at woodstock. "see me feel me" was sung just as the sun was rising at 530 am. nature's best light show ever. the who sings my generation is by far the best r&b records ever recorded by 4 white brits.
