I've heard for years that Eddie Murphy is a major leage ****** ... you can even tell it from the way he speaks in that smug snide comic voice he does. Not only did he dump a pregnant woman (Scary Spice) by spilling the beans on a talk show (didn't have the decency to even call the girl) but he then gets on tv and questions whether he's even the father.

'ernie', it's not like it was a big stretch for Eddie Murphy to play a nearly washed-up singer well beyond his prime -- that's basically his real life story except replace the word singer with comedian. That 'performance' is equally as deserving of an Oscar as ..... Courtney Love portraying a drugged out flusey.

Eddie Murphy should never beat anyone for anything related to acting.... ever. He's just not that good. And about his personality, he definitely sounds like an ******. I guess I'd be pissed too and leave early if I knew my only chance of winning an award not titled "Biggest Jerk of the Year" had just slipped by.

Eddie Murphy was terrific in Dream Girls. I love Alan Arkin and Mark Walburgh as well. I don't know who should have won if but I know that I wouldn't base my vote on anything except their performance in the movie!

Yes, I'm glad. From what I hear, Alan Arkin is a decent person and not a Hollywood egomaniac. Maybe that's why he won.

what's funny to me is that everyone is calling him a aZZhole..has anyone sat with him one on one personally? i'm guessing not! hey..dont know if he is or isn't . I think he was funny in his snl late 80's . now i hear he got up and left after his catagory was called...if it was me i wouldve left too whether winning or not..thats a long 5 hr ceremony..without eating too...no way ..now in my opinion..he didnt win because 1). Arkin is a vetern and i believe they gave it to him for just being old...2). it didnt help that norbit is out which some ppl are bitchin about that movie..so what he dressed as a fat woman..dud..nutty professer... and he has this whole Mel G might be pregnant w/ his baby scandal going on. he'll be alright,..maybe this will turn his acting direction to finding more in depth roles that could surpass dreamgirls.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's everything you've said. I have a different impression. For that matter, I wouldn't be surprised if Alan Arkin were the same way.

Yes, I was hoping mark whalberg won, he did a great job in the Departed. I can't beleive Eddie Murphy threw a tantrum because he didnt win.

I really did not expect him to win. He needs to be nominated another time or two.... I couldn't imagine him getting one on his first nomination. He has Raw and all the bad publicity to go against before he comes out like a legimate actor.
I was cheering for the guy from Blood diamond...

1st of all Scary Spice, is pregnant with his baby. Just because he left doesn't mean he's a sore loser. That was his only nomination so why would he sit there and be bored when he could leave? That's the only reason he was there.
