I think the women sound better than the men this time around.

Simon agrees with you. I like the bebop guy from Seattle, his voice is great. I also like the funny white guy with afro. His voice just catches me by surprise because it doesn't match how he looks. For the girls I like the shy african american gal. The one that Simon said seemed to lack confidence but was a terrific singer. She's my favorite. The single mom isn't my favorite, even though all the judges loved her. It's going to be interesting. It's only our second time watching the whole season. I am STILL bummed that Daughtry didn't win last time, and am SO glad his CD went platinum!

The women are definitely better than the men this year. The wrong guys were let go during the final cut (like the guy who sounded like Ruben a little bit and the light-skinned guy that was up against Sundance). Those guys could sing and they let them go! Bad choice.
I think this is the worst year yet for "talent" on American Idol.

It looks like the girls have the talent, I think where the judges went wrong with the guys, was to have them sing the Brian Adams song ( to really love a woman) A really beautiful song it was hard for anyone to sound bad singing it. most of the guys got through on this song, trouble is they don't show much talent to sing anything else. Oh! by the way, I hear that Tony Bennett is going to be a guest star, that should be a real boring evening.

Agreed, 100%. I think the guys suck and the girls are really good. If it were up to me, the top 12 would be 10 Women, 2 Guys and that may be stretching it for the guys.

I've only watched a few episodes and I think it's the worst season ever. I stopped watching, but may start again when it gets narrowed down to the final few or if there's a guest star that I like.

I haven't watched it in a few weeks, because I didn't like the way they seemed like they were more focused on making us laugh than searching for real singers. It was like a comedy show. I guess I'll start watching it again just to see what's what. During the auditions, I did like the brother and sister and that girl named Jordan.

I think Simon is really letting up. Hes a lot nicer now. Its kinda wierd if you ask me. I agree girls sound way better. Sundance didnt do very well in the Top 12.

I hate the show...BUT... While I am on the computer my wife and kids are usually watching. I heard this one lady sing and she gave me the chills, she just blew my mind. She is a very pretty heavyset black woman. She has a daughter my wife says and she seemes very humble. I heard Simon say somthing Like giving the other 23 contestants airplane tickets home.... I am not for the show because commercialized music ruins what it is all about, but this lady has a gift and I love her voice.. Blows me away and my wife will call me everytime she sings....Who knows, maybe I'll even voet..

Yeah, I do hear that the women are VERY good, that they smoked the men...
Some of the men, aren't bad.. but I hear that black girl wow.. she was AMAZING... :).. Can't wait to see who wins this time..
