As an introvert, I usually go crazy when I'm on trips because I never have time alone. It's even harder because I often travel with school groups so I need to follow "the buddy system." How can I survive my next trip?!?

I know it's not what you are comfortable with, but it really is the best thing for you. The more interaction you have with people, the more comfortable you will become with yourself and others. Try to relax and listen to the conversations around you. Something will come up that you are into or know something about. Then, you're in the conversation if you want to be. It's also fine to lose yourself in a good book for a few minutes and it helps you feel like you've had some alone time. Be yourself and listen to what's going on. Have a good time.Don't worry so much about everything. It's a vacation, you should be enjoying yourself.Good luck.

Whether a person is introverted or extroverted, it becomes easier to converse with someone who shares an interest. although it may be uncomfortable at first, try to engage one new person a day in a simple conversation. There is a satisfaction to be gained when you can step outside your comfort zone and make a new aquaintance, possibly even become more of an extrovert as a result. Good luck and try to have fun.

I would tell the "buddy" "hey no offense but I wont be talking much" ..."nothing against you but i just want to soak up what I can here." I find the best way is the simple truth.

Peace

Do what most introverts do overcompensate and be nice.

Can make you a better salesperson in the long run.
