How to get rid of bugs?
About a month ago I noticed that I had these small cockroaches crawling on my computer desk at night. I would us the bug spray to kill them but they kept ocming back. A week ago I clean my room entirely and moved my computer desk to the other side of the room. Last night I noticed that there are more cockroaches on my computer desk. I don't get it. I clean my room almost perfectly and I thought I got rid of them. Where are they coming from? I have a wooden desk and we live in a trailer. Can any of that be the cause. I have almost tried everything and they keep coming back. Please help me out. If there is anymore info you need, just ask. Thanks so much for your help.

Someone Said that they are German Cockroaches and I have looked at some pics and I do believe that they are German. My last resort is calling pest control but is there another way of getting rid of them without costing me a fortune?

They are the most difficult to get rid of and will smell food anywhere...and they seem to like to hide in radios and things like that...boric acid is the best and non-toxic to you or pets...they multiply quickly, so be patient while the powder does it's job...it can be purchased at grocery or drug stores and places like Walmart etc: good luck

Cockroaches have survived for more years than anyone can even know. I lived with cockroaches for about 2 years in an apartment and the only thing really to do is to get rid of what they are eating, bomb for the ones that are there and then bomb again for the eggs. But you may have to call an exterminator to stop them completely. The question you might want to look into is where are they coming from? Do you live close to someone that is not clean? Do you live in a trailer community? If so you might be able to talk to the owner of the community to get this taken care of or at least get a complaint out to other owners in the community. Good luck those things can survive anything.

First of all, cockroaches will outlive human existence.

Second, this is how my sister coped in her first apartment:

1. Get roach traps. That will take care of the roaches that have already made your home their home.

2. Pour boric acid along the baseboard of your house or apartment. That is a barrier to keep them out.

3. Call an exterminator. Years ago my friend, who is also a research biologist, was working on "birth control" for roaches. The idea is to rotate the poison so they don't adapt, and deform the eggs and babies so they won't produce. It is now in in use by professional exterminators.

Good luck! (Gives me the willies just thinking about it)

We had this type of problem when we inherited an kitchen table from my grandmother. It was made of pressed wood, and they were living in the wood of the table. Nothing we tried worked until we found the roach gel. It was in white tubes put out by raid. I dont know if you can still find it or not its been a long time since we had a problem. But it is a brown gel....looks alot like peanut butter so you want to put it where it cant be seen. In about a week our problem was all but gone. I guess the bugs would eat it and it would kill them. It was amazing how fast it worked.

You can bug bomb your house. Basically, they have these bug bomb cannisters you can get anywhere. You put them in the middle of each room and set them off. You leave your house, and come back a day later, all the bugs should be dead. Unfortunately, then you have to clean EVERYTHING, because this stuff goes EVERWHERE.
