Go to google.com, click on "maps" at the top. Then type in the place you want to look at.
At the top of the map, you can choose satellite pictures, maps, or both.

You may not care, but the highest-resolution images at Google Earth are taken from airplanes, not satellites. It's still a very cool toy.
