Struggle for life exists even for aniamals. They live
with so much of uncertainity. It is unsurmountable.
Thank god, we do not have that. The man made
circumstances are not that unsurmountable.
It is difficult to find happiness within the self when
one is struggling. Yet, one thing is true for sure.
Humans are highest among creation - they have mind. If
they use their mind with concentrated search, they can
overcome any struggle some day. The experiences learned
from a struggle makes a person stronger. They make him
more prepared for the next one.

Life does seem like a struggle to all people at different times in their lives, and this what makes the triumphs of living so enjoyable I guess.
People do not often seem to consider though, that if they gave up
focussing on struggling, and instead turned their attention to accepting responsibility for their situation, then it could just be a matter of dwelling on a positive solution, rather than giving energy to a painful experience.

I have been struggling with this same sort of problem, I am bipolar and I am starting to seek help. The thoughts that have kept me alive thus far are that it usually gets better at least for a bit and that without all of the crap that has happened to me, I wouldn't be who I am now. It isn't much, but it keeps me going. I truly hope that your struggles ease.

Once a woman was trying to clean her home, but her baby kept crying, her other two kids kept fighting, she dropped a glass on the kitchen floor and it broke into a hundred pieces - she went outside to get the mail and the dog ran out of the house and down the street. At this point everything got to her and she ujust sat down on the ground and started crying. Her neighbor, who happened to be a Buddhist, came over to console her. He asked what was wrong and she went on this diatribe of things that were finally getting to her. Her neighbor listened to her talk about all the stuff she was going thru and when she was done, he said, "How fortunate you are to be so busy and have such a full life."

Only twice in my life has it got to that level. Normally I am quite good at dealing with the problems that arise. But on the breakdown of my marriage, the death of my grandma, the birth of my baby, my sterilisation and having to move house ALL within 6 months I really didn't feel as I could take any more.
I sat down with a bottle of vodka and a bottle of pills and just cried. If it wasn't for my eldest child waking up (he was only 3) I really think I would have done it .
How selfish was that.?!!! My child could have walked in and found his mother dead. I swore then , never again. So when at a later date I found myself going down that dark tunnel of depression again , I went straight to my doctor who was great. He didn't just give me tablets, he also arranged counselling for me.
Touching wood I have been alright now for nearly 10 years, but the memory of that depression still haunts me and just what I might have done. And what I would have missed out on, I now have a beautiful grand daughter.

Yes it often seems that way, but there's a solution for many of the problems that we suffer from and if you cant think of or apply the solution then you should seek professional advice on the matter - whatever it may be.

No one said that life is easy...and its a terrible thing to think. Nothing worthwhile is easy...so get in there and fight for what you want and make things happen. The human mind is an incredible thing...it can self destruct just as easily as it can be positive. But self-destruction is a cop out. So much better to get in the trenches and make it happen for yourself...
