I was menstrating on my wedding day as well and I got pregnant by my husband and I had my beautiful son. So what is the big deal about getting pregnant on your period? I just wanna know.

I think because it is very uncommon that some "weirdos" may have preconceived notions about it... I don't know why someone would say it was an evil spirit... that is just off the wall.
The reason it is so uncommon is because the fertilized egg burrows into the uterine wall, which sheds during pregnancy. Therefore it would make it very difficult for the egg to not get shed along with the uterine lining.
Its not impossible, just very rare.

It is unlikely to conceive while on your period but of course not impossible! It used to be believed that a woman could not get pregnant at all while on her period, thereore whatever impregnated her must not have been human. We now know that women only *generally* ovulate in the middle of their cycle but some women ovulate at a different time in their cyle or twice in a cycle etc. because of that reason it is possible for pregnancy to occur then just not a really common occurence. By no means is it rare just not "typical."

Well, I have never heard of that in the bible, but I do know that the chances of getting pregnant on your period is slim to none. But I am a Christan, and I have never ever been told that. I too was on my period on my wedding day and have two girls and I am 16 weeks with my third. I don't know where you heard this from, but as I said, never heard of it.

What scripture is that? I don't remember ever reading that! Maybe the religious section would be more appropriate?

I don't know.

I believe there are Jewish laws pertaining to sexual intercourse an mestruation or spotting. They aren't used by Christians, as far as I know.

Because even though God knows all and created all of our bodies to the finest detail, bleeding vaginas still creep him out. No red badge of courage for this God...
