Try the everyday, gradual tanning lotions. Neutrogena's Summer Glow is my favorite but not available everywhere. Jergen's Natural Glow is good also. You won't really notice the color from day to day, but give it 5-7 days and you'll realize you have a tan. These work gradually so it's almost impossible to screw up.

If you want instant results, try Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning FOAM, not lotion (Walgreens carries it). It dries quickly but doesn't smear.

I have really light skin and always burn. I use Johnsons tanning lotion as it builds it up naturally and doesn't look orange. Also you can get moistursing and firming in it which are great.

A tip for using fake tans is to wait about half an hour after showering to apply it because showering makes your body alkeline which makes the tan orange.
Also use plenty of moisturiser on your elbows and knees to blend the tan slightly onto them.

I have used this a couple of times now and i haven't turned out orange or streaky.

Your best bet would be to use those gradual tanners. They are the ones that build color slowly with each application so it looks more natural and there's less of a chance to get an undesirable orange color or streaks.

Dove and Jergens and Neutrogena make some really good gradual tanners. I personally have never used a tanner but the reviews for these products are pretty good on www.makeupalley.com .

good luck. all fake tan makes ya orange and plus, tanning beds are terrible for ur skin. y make urself orange for a few days just to have skin cancer later. u will look like everyone else if u fake tan. its bs! (bad stuff!)

I went to a salon and have been given a pretend tan to conceal my tan traces for my wedding ceremony. I wasn't even that happy with that. the difficulty is that it fades erratically and in case you pass over your tan traces, it makes them even darker.
