X-RAYS are bad cause of radiation which could cause birth defects... That is why when you take an X-RAY, your physician puts that heavy lead blanket around your belly so your baby is protected. It's advice to avoid all X-RAYS if it's not necessary.. It's safe but, do it when you're in your second trimester.

About the shots, hmmm ask your doctor. Your doctor knows best. They wouldn't do any shots unless they know it is safe.

An xray can harm an unborn baby so you should never get them when your pregnant- unless it's absolutely necessary.

As far as getting shots, there's not really any shots you have to get. Except if you are a certain blood type (negative) then you will get a shot in your 28th week and right after you give birth. And, yes you do have to get that.

You will also need to get a lot of blood work done throughout your pregnancy, which is a pain. But also necessary to ensure you and the baby are healthy.

As far as choosing not to get things, just have the doctor explain to you everything that is going on so you understand what it's being done for. Once you understand everything, you probably won't want to refuse to get things done. You'll want it done so you can have peace of mind knowing the baby is ok.

X-rays can cause birth defects, but really only if you get a lot of them done. They should only be done during pregnancy when absolutely necessary.

You don't have to get any shots if you don't want to. There are still women that have pregnancies and births without ever seeing a medical professional. (I don't recommend it.) If your doctor wants to give you some sort of immunization, ask why, what are the benefits, downsides, etc. You are in control of your care.

X-Rays can harm a developing fetus. Check out taking/having anything like x-rays and any shots or drugs with your OB-GYN first to be sure. Good Luck :)

if you are pregnant you need to talk to your doctor about it.... that way they can help you make decisions about all these questions....before you do anything regarding xrays tell the doctor or nurse. Congratulations

Why are they trying to give you shots? And of what? Your doctor should be specific about what he's doing or hightail it out of there. This is the doctor you want informing you the most out of any doctor.

can mutate the cells as they multiply but chances are nothing happened to the fetus unless you got ALOT of xrays.

YOU choose to get shots or not.
