Sorry but your freedom of speech ends where my freedom from harassment begins, i.e. hate speech which endangers my right to safety and the pursuit of happiness.

Not really. Your freedom of speech is not covered here on Yahoo, or any other public board like this. If you drop the N-word or any other offensive word Yahoo has the right to delete it along with your account and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it.
Also take work or school. You cant go in to work and use hardcore profanity, you will get fired. Your freedom of speech does not give you the right to say or do anything you please anywhere you wish. Its mainly a issue that keeps the Government from controlling what you say.

Wrong, even the Supreme Court decided that when they said that a person cannot yell FIRE! in a crowded theater when it's not true bc of the resultant loss of life and injury. Further, Raven and Peter above have also hit the nail on the head.

When speech is said literally bc it's hateful, intended/meant to be psychologically, socially, and/or emotionally hurtful and hateful to another you have no entitlement either.

The funny thing about "rights" and "entitlements" is that everybody is screaming I got rights, I want my rights, etc.

But, nobody seems to remember or want to honor the twin issues of responsibility and accountability.

No one particularly wants to be held accountable in the exercise of their never-ending "rights" or entitlements. And, therein, lays the real problem(s).

Freedom of speech is fine, but if you just want to be a butt-head and no one wants to listen. Shut up. I personally could careless about your rhetoric. I know that it is only you holding a mirror to the real you and you want me just to think it is me. Maybe one day you will learn to love yourself

Freedom of speech means you have the right to "say" what you want,it doesn't mean that others have to agree with it.
