The Irish Board of Speech and Drama produce short plays suitable for primary school children. The Legend of Setanta In their Short Plays 2000 Book 3, which is suitable for children aged 7 - 10 might be a good one. Or they have a free short play on the site ‘The Countess Cathleen’, which is suitable for young people from 12 years of age. You can download the catalogue at the site below. The second link is to the free play which is in PDF format.

I couldn't tell you only if you have a shop that sells Irish things like food and cards they may have some books or you could try asking on drumkeeranfolk on yahoo and someone there may have an answer for you. Good luck I bet whatever you find it will be worthwhile.

You could write it yourself. A little story involving characters discussing the lack of snakes suddenly in Ireland, use poetic license and include a leprechaun or two, etc.
