Hello! Anyone out there who has infertility problems?! I been like this for 9 yrs. Taken treatments after treatments, spent alots of money. Every months like a Rollercoaster ride! I really don't wanna give up. My doctor said: There is no problem with us, they don't know why is happening with me. I hate to go to Baby Showers or just hearing: oh they having another baby!

I recommend this book: Adopting After Infertility, by Patricia Irwin Johnston. If you choose to change your plans from conceiving to adopting, this book will help you not to think of it as "giving up."

Every adoptive parent I know is head over heels in love with their child(ren), and can't imagine having had children any other way.

But for now you can politely decline baby shower invitations. You need to protect your heart.

The pressure on you must be horrendous. Sometimes releasing that pressure and being able to truly accept whatever comes can make a huge difference to your peace of mind. You might conceive, but you would be able to "move on" even if you didn't.

Have you tried charting your fertility signs? If the docs cannot detect a problem, charting may find it for you. A woman can gain an enormous amt of informaton about her body by charting. Some cases of believed infertility have been found to be easily solvable issues w/ the cyles discovered ONLY through charting.

Many women do NOT have textbook cycles. Therefore Day counting may not be helpful. If there is a delay in conception, day counting would not be able to help you pinpoint the cause either.

I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

hi, i have one son that is 2 1/2 but it took me 6 years to get. i dont think you should give up but stop paying all that money. just pray so that your body can relax. you are probably over stressing yourself. i know its hard. my sister had got pregnant before me and i was so angry. i felt that it should've been me. i totally understand the way you feel. if doctors already told you that nothing is wrong with than just wait. i have not got pregnant since my son. i never been on birth control either. i really another baby now too. i just bought the clear blue fertility monitor so hopefully it will help. i also got a rx for clomiphene citrate. i will start that too. well i think you should try the monitor. maybe you are just ovulating early or late. the monitor will tell you exactly when you ovulate. try it. maybe it will work. i hope so. good luck!

Get the Clear Plan Fertility monitor. It will help you figure out when the best time to "do it" is. It worked for me several times. I tried temping, and the regular sticks, but it was so much work and didn't always work. Temping (if you have not done it) can tell you alot about your cycle though. How long it is, what your base line temp is, and whether your beginning or end of your cycle is to long / short for conception. You should look into it if you have not already tried it. I learned ALOT!!!

I wanted to get back to you but ran out of answers!! From what you say the main thing is there is nothing wrong plus you are still young, do you know when you ovulate? If you do you can increase your chances. Getting pregnant is a funny thing it happens when you least expect it. Are your periods regular normally? 9 years is a long time but people have concieved after trying more than twice as long please don't give up.

stop putting so much pressure on yourself. That is usually the biggest obstacle. I tried for years, numerous treatments myself. I found out my husband was cheating, so of course I stopped trying.
Shortly after he was gone, I found out I was pregnant, lol. Go figure.
I know its hard to deal with, but once you have that baby all that pain and disappointment goes away.

DONT GIVE UP!! I to have been trying to concieve for 5 yrs and 1 surgery later. I had been told to give up trying to concieve because i am 39 yrs old. when one Dr. said "you are to old " i spoke with my pastors wife who gave me great advice. " if the doctor is talking to you like that, then find another one who will encourage you to achieve your dream(and mine) of becoming a first time mother. I am blessed to have a 7 yr step daughter whom i adore. So please continue to believe in blessings because God will delivery on time. for both of us. Good Luck!!
