Just anwer with a few senteses or a paragraph. I will choose the first one to write a paragraph or few setenses about this as best answer, if I like it.
I'll probably like anything as long as its correct. You don't have to spend a lot of time reasearching it or anything. Also, my other questions are about global warming. Please look at them. Thank you

Carbon dioxide is one of many causes of warming. It is a greenhouse gas like water vapor and methane which essentially means that it holds heat in our atmosphere. The sun and solar winds also influence temperature and they vary over time. An increase in carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gas theoretically will hold more temperature in the atmosphere.

A quote from the link:

"Carbon dioxide doesn't absorb the energy from the sun, but it does absorb some of the heat energy released from the earth.

When a molecule of carbon dioxide absorbs heat energy, it goes into an excited unstable state.

It can become stable again by releasing the energy it absorbed.

Some of the released energy will go back to the earth and some will go out into space.

So in effect, carbon dioxide lets the light energy in, but doesn't let all of the heat energy out, similar to a greenhouse."

The Earth is heated by radiated energy from the Sun. The energy is partially re-radiated by the Earth as "long-wave" infrared radiation. Carbon dioxide (and water vapor and methane molecules) absorb this re-radiated energy and gain kinetic energy. This kinetic enrgy is measured as heat, and result sin an increase in temperature in the atmosphere.

carbon monoxide emissions build up in the earths atmosphere and prevent the heat from the sun leaving( the suns rays normally bounce off earth surface and leave the atmosphere) the build up increases earths overall temperature - creating global warming

high levels of CO2 in the atmosphere won't let heat leave the earth's atmosphere and reflect it back onto the earth. With less heat being lost and heat still entering the atmosphere the temperature rises.
