im a girl and i want to tone my legs and bum without having bulky muscles i want to have thinner legs with muscle how do i do this?¿

Thank you, thank you, thank you for asking this question. I've wondered about it a lot! And I've found some exercises on my own that have helped, but I can't wait to hear everybody else's replies.

But basically, you HAVE to work on all of your leg muscles in order to tone the inner thighs. That's the way the body works. You can't just expect to tone just one muscle group and leave the rest be. So here are some things I do DAILY! (about a 10-15 minute workout.)

Leg squats. (works the thighs, esp. the quads...just stand up, feet shoulder width apart. Bend the hips and knees until you are pretty much sitting in an invisible chair. Lift up to standing position. Repeat.)

Calf raises. (Stand on your toes and SLOWLY raise up and down.)

Leg stretches (any you can think of)

Mountain climbers (Stand feet together. Extend the right leg, bend, and touch the knees to the ground (like you're proposing). Come back up to standing position. Repeat with other leg.)

Bicycling at the gym (or doing any other sort of toning exercises.)

Sometimes I go on a walk/jog too. =]

squats, leg raises, and if you go to the gym use the stairclimber, if not just run up and down the stairs.
