Hi there,
My husband and I are trying to conceive. My period was due on February 14th, which means I should have ovulated tomorrow. My period however did not start until February 22nd, therefore I calculated ovulation at March 9th. Right now I am having HUGE amounts of egg white cervical mucus and according to when my period was SUPPOSED to come it is right on schedule for ovulation (Febraury 28th) Is this possible and has ANYONE had this happen? I do not want to miss this window of opportunity....if in fact there is the possibility I am ovulating only 5 days after menstruation.

It's entirely possible. Even if you don't ovulate tomorrow, fertile cervical fluid can keep the sperm alive for up to 5 days. If you are trying to conceive (and there are no known sperm count issues w/ your husband) you should have intercourse everyday there is fertile CF, especially the peak day (which you usually can't pinpoint until after).

Many women do NOT have textbook cycles. Therefore Day counting may not be helpful. If there is a delay in conception, day counting would not be able to help you pinpoint the cause either.

I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

It is possible to ovulate at any point in your cycle. However generally if you have less than 14 days between ovulation and menstruation it can negatively impact fertility as the egg doesn't get a chance to implant properly before the uterine lining is shed.

this is achieveable to ovulate at any element on your cycle. although frequently in case you have under 14 days between ovulation and menstruation it could negatively impression fertility because of the fact the egg would not get a huge gamble to implant precise till now the uterine lining is shed.
