Well first ask yourself when did you buy the computer? if its an older model its going to definatly be a 32 bit machine, if its much newer it might be a 64. I think that going into the control panel in windows and going to system will be able to tell you for sure though.

Windows Vista 32bit will install on either a 64bit proc or a 32bit. Most likely you have a 32bit processor, only higher end workstations, or homebuilt more rubust systems are going to use 64bit processors. If you go to Start > Run and type in msinfo32 (if you have windows on the system) it should bring up a system information window. In the list for System Summary it will show Processor in the Items column. Here it will give a long name about what type of processor it is. If you do not see any mention of 64bit or 64 then you can be pretty certain it is a 32bit processor. If you posted the exact name it gives this could be verified for sure, or if you search yahoo or google for that name you may find further information as well.

Hope this Helps

Well... you could have told us what the processor was and then we could have told you whether it was 32bit or 64bit.

Edit: Ramy, really the only way to find out if it is a 32bit or a 64bit processor is to look it up. That is why I asked you what the processor was so you or I could look it up.

Some processors will say it when you go to system properties or dxdiag in the run dialogue. But others won't. The only real way to find out is to google the darn thing.

The Pentium M 750 is a 32bit processor.

64 bit is usually for servers but if you right click on the My computer icon on either the desktop or on the start menu and then click on properties, once that window opens up you hsould be able to see the information on your processor. If not go to the hardware tab and then click on Hardware profiles, then scroll down looking for processor and once you get to that right click again and try to select properties. Good luck!! :-)

What kind of pc do you have? What is the cpu? If it is an AMD dual core it is a 64 bit. If it is intel then that is a different story. You have to go to the general information of your pc and look it up. The info will be in your manual and also in the pc itself.

Do it the easy way, get the 32bit and be done with it. No need to worry because it runs perfectly well on 64bit processors.

Right click on My Computer, select properties, and see what kind of CPU your computer has.
