i'm almost 26, and people are still putting things in my permanent record...

but i'm sure it's a negative mark on you, if the permanent record is not something that actually refers to your memory and conscience

First of all, if this question is regarding yourself, then you shouldn't be cheating at all. If you want to get far in life and be successful, you have to work for it. You'll never get by on cheating alone. You will MOST LIKELY GET CAUGHT and it WILL have serious consequences. Believe me. It is a serious offense in my school and it may go on your permanent record and you may be suspended, warned, sent to the principal, or even EXPELLED. yes, that can happen. Think twice before cheating. However, if a friend of yours or someone you is cheating, tell them what I said.

Cheating is a terrible thing and you should put as much effort as you can into your schoolwork.

first off, u need to stop watching so much t.v. There is no such thing as a "permanent record", unless of course you are referring to your criminal record, in which you have to break an actual law to have something put on it, so no, cheating on a test other than the ACT or SAT will not go on your criminal record.

It really depends on how big the test you took was, but chances are probably not unless it was your SAT or ACT (and maybe finals in that case). It can also depend on your teacher.
