Last year, my senior year of high school, I went to prom with a date, but spent the night dancing with my friends. Then ditched the date and went home with a bunch friends, after an early morning of bowling in prom gowns and eating at dennys =) ditch the guy and go with the chicks.

go with whoever you want to go with. It's worse to sit at home and miss out on your prom. I went with a date and my best friend went with a group of friends...we both had a great time

Only if you care what people think. If you make a point of having a good time whether you have a date or not, you'll have fun and stop worrying about what others may think.
