Depending on the type of files you are downloading they should play in Windows media player automatically.

If they are MP3 files, than Windows media player should recognize them and play them without an issue.

Sometimes these type of files come compressed into a .RAR or .ZIP file, if this is the cause you would need a program such as WinRAR to extract the Mp3s first before you can play them.

WinRAR can be downloaded for free at www.rarlabs.com
