Looks like you have a British Trade Dollar, struck from 1895 to 1935 in 0.900 fine silver for British trade with the Orient. This coin was minted in Bombay, Calcutta and London, and depicts a standing Britannia on the obverse while the reverse has the denomination written in both Chinese characters and Jawi writing. Value depends on the grade, but it's at least $30 in average circulated condition.

Yes it could be a British trade dollar made for the China and Malaya trade. It would have Britannia on the obverse with one on the left and dollar to her right. The date under her feet. If so, 1925 is not a rare date and it depends on the coins grade, to value. Lets say $15 and up. They usually sell in the $25.00 range for a nice circulated one. If not a trade dollar, would need to see a scan of both sides.

Yes, I had one when overseas 30 yrs ago. Can't remember the name of it, but was minted in Europe for use as trade dollar in Arabia. Sort of a standard currency. Some coin collector will come up with the correct name.
