no doubt about it. I play along on TV all the time, and usually "beat" the contestants. Of course, I know that's not the same thing, but in terms of just knowing the answers, I'm right there...

Yes. I was a contestant about 7 years ago. It's a lot harder than you think. I considered myself a very good player at home but once you get there, in the studio, all bets are off. The worst part of the entire process is figuring out when to hit the stupid buzzer. I locked myself out so many times on answers I knew only to be done in by the buzzer. You have to be able to think quickly and make educated guesses. It's a fun experience and, if given the opportunity, you should try for it. Watch for contestant searches. Do well on the test and mock game and you'll be well on your way.
Good luck.

P.S. I came in third :)

P.P.S. tmac---looks mean absolutely nothing on Jeopardy. It's your brain that counts. If you're smart and can think on your feet do not sell yourself short.

The best way to answer that question is with the words of Rosie Perez in the movie White Men Can't Jump: "It is in my destiny to do well on Jeopardy!"

I had a coworker apply once and he said it was the most grueling thing he had gone through. He said it was more stressful than the SAT's and his Valedictorian speech combined. LOL! So I'd have to say that No, I would not do well.

However, I would rock at 1 vs. 100!

Oh, yes, my friends call me the Jeopardy Queen. I can go for days without missing a question.

Sure. Anyone can be a contestant.

I do pretty good at home. But there are some categories in which I look like a dunce. Anything with sports or TV shows kills me.
