I have 5 people in my home and two adult children who depend upon me. I work full time and am involved with my Church. She gets so angry and gives me the silent treatment a year at a time because she wants me to do things and I cannot. She has one child and is single. I invite her to things with us but she says it is always one sided. I think it is a no win situation.

It sounds like your friend is a little bit inconsiderate and if she can't understand that you had a life with responsibilities before her then maybe you need to let her just sit back and stew on the anger she possesses at you and realize that the world doesn't revolve around her because friends are supposed to be there for you not create more problems against you. Good Luck!

She doesn't have many other friends, and as a single woman she needs some kind of companionship. She wants to go out with JUST you, blow off some steam, do something fun. You can't make one night with her say every few months? Let the friggin adult kids take care of themselves and others. If she sucks AFTER you guys hang out, then don't worry about it...make one night, I guarantee she really needs it.

Find a new friend. She's not being very fair here. Rather selfish I think. True friends do not act this way.

your friend sounds selfish. perhaps you should think about letting her figure out this one on her own - you have a family to care for! you're doing the right thing. if she can't understand that you have to put your responsibilities first - then you dont need her friendship.

Doesn't sound like much of a friend to me. I think I'd forget her telephone number.
