Dress smart & show a genuine interest in science/biology

If your hoping to do the course for a particular reason e.g. to eventually become a Biomedical Scientist in a hospital lab check out the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) at http://www.ibms.org/ and make sure the uni course is accredited by them.

This site is probably useful source for you to find out latest news in Biomedical Science, and may give you some good ideas of questions you may want to ask to suss out if the course is right for you

Good luck I was employed for years as a Biomedical Scientist and it's a great career, but be prepared for lots of hard work!

Be positive at the interview.

Find a specific part of biomedical science you like and make sure you can talk about it for 5 minutes.

Know why you want to do that course especially- have something to say about it.

Have an interest you can talk about outside of the course.

Think about why you want to study it- with regards to future career plans.

Know of a text book or renowned author of the subject.

Have about 5 sentences you can use about biomedical sciences, in case you run out of things to say.

Perhaps discuss what you know about the subject so far.

Have a look at some recent stories that have been in the news

Go over your personal statement - if you have mentioned any specific things make sure you know them well enough to talk about

Tomorrow, if you are someone who gets nervous don't wear a watch because you'll probably fiddle with it which sets a bad impression

Shake your interviewer's / interviewers' hand and try to keep eye contact during the interview

You'll probably be asked if you have any questions. If you can't think of any, there is nothing wrong with saying "no thank you". If you do have one, make sure it's not an easily answerable one that you could have found out yourself from the prospectus.

Good luck :)
