I gauged my ears down to a size 6 - I think. Reason why I don't remember: I was young and it was about 3 or 4 years ago... I would like to shrink my ears back to "normal" size for personal reasons... and was wondering if anyone has any advice on how this can be done safely? I'm only scared to try it because I don't want there to be any scar tissue or weird lookingness to it....
*anyone who replies with unneccary comments i.e. "you should've thought of that sooner, or eewwww" will not be recieving 10pts so please don't waist your time. Also, If I find your comment to be too mean I will report it.

Well I know my hole is deffinately not big enough for me to really need surgery..........I mean it's not even the size of a pencil top really *_*.... but thanks to those that offered that advice i guess....
the preperation h thing seemse a little odd... im afraid of infection or something.... but it was better advice then most...
and i also liked the one that said to move up the sizes (6 to 8 etc)
so im still trying to decide what the best answer will be :)

I've had friends and acquaintences want to do the same thing. The best approach I've seen is to take out the current jewelry and put in jewelry that is one gauge smaller (i.e. 6 to 8), let it adjust to the new size, and then repeat to the size desired.
This process may sound strange or prolonged, but it really does help to maintain the integrity of the "hole", and prevents it from becoming a malformed mass of tissue, even if it won't close completely.
Hope this helps.

They'll never completely close up and you'll always have a little mark, but even getting pierced at a "normal" 18 gauge will leave that.
The best thing to do is to take them out and start putting Preperation H on them. I went from a 2 back to 18 in no time at all. If you think about what Prep H is used for, it actually makes sense that it works--plus it is cheap. :)

You cannot reverse the proceedure without going and having the ear hole sewn shut by a plastic surgeon. The same thing goes for when you pierce your ears. Those holes never completely grow up either. Just by not wearing the ear jewelry for a month, will tell you how much the holes will close up. They will close some, but not completely. My daughter is a professional body piercer, and I am a healthcare provider.

i took them out about two weeks ago and theyre at about a 10.
eventually theyll get back to normal size, but i would stay away from wearing heaving earings for a while.

the desirable way is to dodge it, by skill of mabye donning ear plugs or something, yet who does that at a stay overall performance. The ringing is going away by skill of day after today, so which you would be able to don't have something to be concerned approximately. attempt listening to Jack Johnson, that would sooth your ears.

Plastic surgery sounds OK to me (and it is not so complicated and painful when ears are done)

you should go to a local piercer and ask if they know how this can be done safely without any weird-looking results
good luck!
