We would have to get married since we are in the military..He's 27, I'm 19..

Just tell him that you're interested in gettting pregnant and you want to know what his opinions are on that situation.

I don't suggest getting married. Heck I had my first child and we didn't get married until he was 1 1/2 (he's 13 now and we're still married). I would definitely wait though to have a baby. I think you want a baby because your missing something. Maybe you need some companionship? A baby is not going to help that. The only thing the baby is going to do is make you stressed out and miserable. Wait until you are ready. I have a sneaking suspicion your not even close to being ready to have a baby. Go out with your girlfriends and have some fun. Once you have a child that is an 18 year commitment that you are responsible for.

I would suggest getting married first. A baby before marriage can put far too much stress on the new marriage. Marriage takes work.
I would suggest waiting if your in the military. You could be deployed to different locations and he could miss several years of the childs life. Thats not fair to the baby or either of you. Think it over.
If he was ready for marriage he would have asked by now He is alot older and your idea of values may be way off from yours when up bringing a child.

You have no future as it is (you are 19, and in the military) ... why would you bring a baby into this ?
Reconsider.
If a guy is 27 and dating a 19 year old ... the guy is a total loser. Not Father Material! Wake Up!!!!!!

When you're in a loving relationship and are prepared to have a baby, it is not something you should "ask" him. You two should both decide that you're ready, financially, emotionally, and mentally, for a child. He is a lot older than you, and since he's in the military, you might have to deal with a lot of moving or even possible deployment. Since you are unsure of how to ask him, perhaps just ask him where he sees you two five years from now. One might wonder why he hasn't felt the urge to ask you for kids since he's nearing 30, but I say just have a discussion about your future and see where it goes.
You are also still very young. Perhaps you could go to college and have some more financial stability for yourself before you start a family?

You're so young, I would just enjoy life for the next few years. After that, you and your boyfriend may be in a place to take the next steps towards acheiving that goal. First, ask him what he's wanting out of life. Maybe he's not ready for a baby yet or feels that you're too young just yet. You don't know until you ask. From there, make plans to work towards that goal. I think the age of 22 is a good age to start trying. Not too old and not too young. Good luck!

You're too young, forget about that for a while, Kid.
There's much more out there in life to see. You're in the military, make use of this time to discover things about the world.
What's your hurry at 19? You got your whole life ahead of you and quite frankly, you haven't even begun your life.

If you would have to get married...you maybe should try being married for awhile and make sure you want to spend the rest of your life with that person and start a family with him......then go from there. once you have a baby with him, he is in your life forever!

I'm sorry but if you dont feel comfortable asking your man if you can have a baby, then I think you should hold off till you feel more comfortable!

Get married first. Then ask him. He'll be more likely to say yes to his wife than his girlfriend.
