Uterine contractions. Your body rids the layer of the uterus by contracting. Sometimes those contractions put undue pressure on the bladder and to a lesser extent the bowel--both of which are situated in close proximity to the uterus. I am the same way!!! Annoying isn't it??

I read somewhere one time its because of the pressure thats associated with it, same thing that causes cramping. If you take some tylenol (or whatever) as soon as the cramping onsets, it will also aleviate the feeling of constipation or the strong urges to "go".

if you mean you need number twos (you didn't specify) then it's due to hormone levels changing and is quite normal.
