Basically, yes.

Al Gore was only the political push to get the funding for a bogus claim.

This is one of the worst cases of fraud waste and abuse I have ever seen.

Al Gore is listed as the cast. He is the famous name that helped sell the film.
Gore proved to be funny, intelligent and a lot different then he was on the campaign trail in 2000 when Bush was Selected as pResident.
Had the Gore of an Inconvenient Truth been running running instead of the stiff Gore America wouldn't have been stuck with Dubya.
Gore was instrumental in the success of the movie.

Al Gore had nothing to do with this film other than using his name for promotional reasons for which he was paid hansomely. Of course Mr. Gore will try to take all the credit for it just like the other false claims he has made such as inventing the internet.

This movie would never have been recognized had it not been for Al Gore. I guess they were acknowledging his huge role in the success of this documentary movie. It's done all the time at the Oscars. You haven't seen those whose names are called waving other people up with them to stand on that podium? @@
