Some hate each other, sure. But, I am a died in the wool Conservative and most of my best friends are very liberal. Actually, hate is not the opposite of love, they are closely related. Apathy is the opposite of either. A complete lack of concern is the worst ideology.
But we need each other. Without libs, our nation would not be as passionate. Without conservatives (true ones, not the radicals), our nation would not be as rational. And who would be around to point out when conservatives had lost their minds and failed to get results (like in 06)? Or, the inverse, would you have heard about Clinton's immorality if it had not been for conservatives? We watch each other and attempt to keep each other honest and that's a good thing. I am always thankful when I hear lamenting about the state of this fine country, because it reminds me that we still have the privilege of free speech.

Yes. I have Grandparents that are VERY STRONG conservatives who think we should put all gays and liberals on an island and blow them up with nukes. If that isn't hate I don't know what is. Yes, they realy did say that.
