Not a racist question, just a simple one. There has been nothing but turmoil in Africa for generations, and especially now more than ever.

Even though others are calling you racist, the general response from emotional bigots themselves who find any true effort to realize that there is a difference in races distasteful, your question is a good one and I may have somewhat of an answer.

The usual blame is placed upon European nations, particularly the Dutch, who colonized Southern Africa in the mid 1600's. The colonization methods used by the Afrikaner's as well as other "civilized" Europeans began a long period of aristocracy-servant domination of the Black peoples of Southern and Mid Africa. Northern Africa, being dominated by the Islamic extremist (yes, they've been running around killing people since the 600's), was mostly under the influences of Spanish peoples. The reason that is given for their lack of progress is because the Blacks were divided into colonies and in doing so, broke with traditional ethnic borders. The lack of ability for the Black races to get along with one another has continued their downward trend.

This leaves open the questions:

Why did colonization not impede the progress of the America's, especially the North American continent? This can be answered by looking at the people that inhabited this continent. The Irish, French, English and Norwegian are all hard working and intelligent people.

Why did the African nations succumb so easily to European domination? Again, we must look at the racial and organizational characteristics of the inhabitants.

I hope this helps your research and don’t be dissuaded by ignorant name callers. After all, many movies have been made poking fun at the European races and their comparisons to Black athletes. The fact of the matter is; Blacks are better at running and jumping around and Whites are better at organization and thinking. I know that this does not hold true in every case but why is it OK to say “White Men Can’t Jump” but it is not OK to say the “Black Men Can’t Cipher”?

Since the independence movement in Africa started in the 50s virtually every country there has allowed dictators of one sort or anotther to plunder the continent. You see much of the same thing in South America, too. The United States was fortunate in its early years to have had a very strong Constitution and early leaders who were more interested in developing the country than exploiting it for personal gain.

DUH....how about CORRUPT LEADERS? Do you know how much money the US has wasted sending it to Africa, only to end up in the hands of the military or the kings?
Oh, Africa also is drowning in debt. Good way to keep the people down, eh?

Government corruption has been a major factor, as has disease and famine. But i don't think that means the continent isn't "civilized", it's just that its development has been outpaced by a lot of the world.

Well, Africa came early to the party (Egyptians) but also left early.

In the mean time a bunch of socialist (UN, Liberals and communists) came and started looting everyone else at the party and giving it to Africa.

To which they replied, thank you sir, may I have another?

The way you are phrasing your question suggests that you are culturally elitist. Try actually learning about history before you assume anything.
