I have bought things on ebay before but nothing as expensive. I've been looking at "new in box" laptop/notebooks and just don't understand why people are selling them so cheap if they are "new". I found one for around $300.00 on ebay and it's closer to $700.00 in the store. Just wondering if anyone has or would buy one there. What brand would you avoid?
Thanks.

Nope, I will not buy a laptop from Ebay. Actually I don't buy any expensive or complicated stuff from Ebay. Be aware there is a lot of sellers are trying to take advantages from new buyers. It will cost you dearly if you received the item damaged or not working for any reason. Sellers might not want to bare the responsibility for any damage.

There is just too much uncertainties to deal with Ebay. For small stuffs or used items, it is a good place to look, but for laptops you are better off from a more reputable store.

I love eBay and have bought several items off of there. I would be very careful about buying a computer but if listing says new in box go for it That is a real good buy before you do buy it look at sellers feed back make sure its high and good if not then that's a sign to avoid buying from that certain seller the better the feedback the least likely they are to rip you one... =)

I would NOT recommend an HP...I had an HP desktop and basically it slowed way down the more I was on the internet...So much that I just decided it was so slow that I would be better off getting a new computer...I would be careful with something like that on Ebay...

If there is one near where you live, I would check out Best Buy...I have a Toshiba laptop I got from there for about $530...needless to say, it was brand new...80GB Hard Drive, 512 MB RAM, CD/DVD Burner, wireless connectivity...I love it...and I'm typing to you on it right now...*S*...

I wouldn't buy anything that is " new " on ebay. I personally think that they probably would be new, yet I wouldn't trust that everything would be included. That is just my opinion. I got a Dell, but my friend bought a laptop off ebay and it didn't have a lot of space on. Her's is exactly like mine so it would've had a much space as mine did. That is just my opinion. Hope it helps.

No. EBay could have rather great bargains and now and back they have great products fit, yet no longer consistently. there are a lot of people basically attempting to earn a residing off valueless junk they have. i could bypass to appropriate purchase or locate an genuinely laptop sort enterprise online and purchase a decrease priced one from there. you will shop money interior the long-term.

Hi there

Possibly, if the seller was a power seller. I generally don't part with a lot of money in one transaction on ebay.

personally i wouldn't take the risk of buying something that expensive from ebay. u cant see it properly before u purchase it and it doesn't come with a guarantee. it might end up costing u more to fix than what u paid for it! this is justmy opinion tho and i have found somethings from ebay to be quite reliable although i havent purchased anything of that amount of money!

You should be very skeptical about very cheap computers on ebay. especially if the seller is not in the US. Check the rating of the seller, check to see the negatives of the seller. How long the seller has been selling on ebay.
