Houses! I wouldnt buy a house that had a horrible face or expression. Car manufacturers are aware of it too, thats why they try and make the cars 'smile' or if your buying a BMW it will probably be growling.
I think it is programmed into our brains, its instinct, it helps us select what we like and dislike.

Well, I see faces a lot. Once I was watching a movie and in the background there were trees. I noticed that the leaves of these trees were in such a way that it look like they had formed a smiling face. It was so clear that I paused the movie and called a friend over to look at it and he was amazed by it. I'll never forget it and it made my day for days actually. It was like the spirit of nature knew it was on camera and decided to make a cameo appearance

There is an image attached to everything or maybe more of a symbol. I blame advertising. Not sure about a face though. Your Answers profile is a silhouette so there's a place without a face

I too see faces in pretty much everything. Carpets and wallpaper are usually pretty good for spotting faces. I've always put it down to an over-active imagination or paranoia!!
Oh, and the new Peugeot 207 has a very nice "face", its all smiley!

you could probably make a face out of anything, shadows, 3Dness, I think that people see faces on non-animal things because faces are probably what they see the most and the brain wants to see faces in everything else.
I dont know, im just guessing. You'r probably best with an answer off somebody who studies psycology, im only in year 9 so... we dont get that choice yet.

I think we all look for patterns in things that we can relate to, and as babies the first thing we saw was our mother's face (or the midwife-whoever was closest!!). In day to day life, the one thing we see the most is faces, think about it, on tv, with our family, out on the street, at work etc etc.
We are bound to see what is the most familiar 'pattern' in everything around us.
Either that or you have been on some dodgy Hallucinogenic drugs recently........

I think the brain is predisposed to seek out the familiar as well as patterns in things. I've read about this before though. Its just something we do as humans.
